Our play grade bark is designed to perform well in many situations providing a cost-effective solution to many gardening problems. It has excellent weed suppression and water retention properties. Not only that but it will also retain its decorative appearance for many years. This bark has fire-resistant characteristics making it very suitable for commercial schemes as a landscaping mulch as well as an ornamental decorative garden bark for a wildflower garden. Our pine nuggets are non-staining and frost resistant and when installed to a depth of 350mm will last for up to 6 years. To ensure safety for play areas this bark is tested to BS EN 1177:1998, making it an ideal alternative to synthetic play surfaces. Suggested depth for commercial play areas is 300mm to protect against a critical height fall of 5m. For domestic use the depth can be reduced depending on the critical fall height.
