Nema-Green Chafer Grub Killer – Chafer grubs are the soil-dwelling larvae of chafer beetles and can quickly destroy your pristine lawn. This chemical free, natural biological solution will quickly rid your lawn of this unwanted visitor. The Chafer grub has a stout white body that curves in a distinctive C shape, with a light brown head and three pairs of legs at the head end. Damage to lawns is most obvious between Autumn and Spring. Yellow patches will appear first as the grass struggles to survive without its roots. Often the most obvious sign is bird activity. Chafer grubs make a tasty snack and birds will tear up your lawn looking for these grubs under the surface. Nema-Green® Biological Chafer Grub Killer is a natural product containing beneficial nematodes which seek out and kill chafer grubs. The nematodes then reproduce inside the dead pest and release a new generation of hungry nematodes, which disperse and search for further prey. To achieve the most from the nematodes, apply between August to October, before the soil gets too cold and when the young grub larvae are active. Mix the Nema-Green® with water (following the pack instructions) and apply immediately using a watering can or an applicator such as the Miracle-Gro Feeder. Make sure the lawn is moist and the soil temperature is above 12 degrees centigrade. Straight after application, water the grass well so that the nematodes are washed into the soil. Keep the lawn well watered for at least two weeks after application. If applications is made at any time other than August to October, we would recommend applying a follow up application in September to ensure any newly hatched grubs are also eradicated. Delivery Due to the perishable nature of this product it will be delivered directly from the manufacturer. Important – This product must be refrigerated after delivery if it is not used immediately. Nematodes are a perishable living product and must be stored correctly and used before the expiry date (approx 2 weeks). Once opened the contents must be used immediately and cannot be stored.
